Giving THE GIFT this season….

Giving THE GIFT this season….

I am so excited to be in conjunction with my sister from Emjay Studios…..

in presenting this GIFT to our dad who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. We've always had a passion to get his writing illustrated and made into a keepsake so we could enjoy it for generations to come. Well what better time than now! So here is our surprise to our dad, this just seemed so fitting for the season we are in, being it's Christmas. This poem was beautifully written by our dad when he was only 12 years old! This will hopefully be the first of many to come. I painted a 16"x20" canvas for him for his birthday 1.5 weeks ago and now we are bringing it to you guys in the form of gifts, with so much behind the scenes work from my sister MJ (Emjay Studios) who worked so diligently to get the website store and images up and running. The profits from all the gifts purchased goes to help dad with hospital and treatment costs as he can not work right now. For those that know my dad, you already know how kind, humble and unselfish he is and his beautiful poetry that started at age 12 was a perfect way to give back to him without him even expecting it or knowing...it was Our Gift to him. He also is a photographer and shares so much of his stuff with everyone via his Images of Light Photography Facebook and Instagram media outlets as well as on his website Imagesoflightphotography.com. He was diagnosed with non smoking lung cancer this past spring, he had surgery to remove half his lung and then went through radiation and chemo treatments. Once those treatments were done, he ended up not healing properly and had pneumonia in his lungs which was onset from radiation, which in turn also caused pulmonary hypertension. This wiped him out and hospitalized him once again. He is currently taking steroids to help him heal from these onset issues and are in the waiting stages for the next treatment plan to come, which would potentially be targeted therapy for a longer period of time. These treatments are priced outrageously high even with insurance, they are just not affordable, and since he can't work at this time, we have opened up this little store to use something he did long ago, to help offset the costs as a gift to him. This, in my opinion, is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give to not only our dad, but also to everyone you know. The Gift poem shows a selfless act which is exactly what God did when he sent His son to us at Christmas, which is what Christmas is all about. Please share and spread the word and ENJOY SHOPPING!
